SCAD SERVE X THE SALVATION ARMY

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Salvation Army has been a cornerstone of community support in Atlanta for 134 years, addressing critical social issues such as poverty, hunger, and social inequity. As its mission continues to evolve, so must its approach to resource utilization. At its Bellwood and Peachcrest locations, the organization identified two unused indoor swimming pools and partnered with SCAD Serve to envision innovative, impactful redesigns that maximize community benefit while staying true to its mission.
At the Bellwood location, my role as an illustrator was to study student behaviors, consider what kids want and what faculty need, and translate those insights into a creative concept. Through illustration, I brought the redesign ideas to life, making them easier for stakeholders to envision and understand their potential community impact.
